Slinky Inky and His Feathered Fears

Another ink drawing is complete.

My goal is to have all of the ink drawings finished around the end of the month. Not an easy task, but the deadline is inching closer (Sept/Oct) and I want to make sure I have adequate time to add the textures and color.

Getting their Ink on...

Now that I’ve figured out the “RULES/STYLE”, it’s time to jump head first into the rest of the book. Step 1 of my process is to create a tight pencil sketch which I’ll use as the foundation for step 2, the Inking. These are the latest pencil sketches that are currently on my table getting their Ink on.... literally.

The lines are drawn, the colors are chosen, the textures are applied and the coffee pot is empty. The first of twenty spreads is officially complete. The only thing left to do is figure out the type, which I'll tackle once I have a few more spreads under my belt.
